Yeah, its a hard tail. Ouch! China Camp never felt so damn bumpy.
Weighs in at a respectable 24.8 lbs, pedals and all.
I'll get some pics and stuff up once I clean it off.
Speaking of China Camp, we rode a "new" section last time around. Its just a tad lil bit that rings around the camp ground but for some reason we'd never taken it before. Its sweet.
And yes, still need a good guide for the backside of CC ... volunteers welcome.

To Lycra or NOT to Lycra?
It is silly but there's something stopping me from buying/riding tight-fitting lycra shorts.
For racing, it would seem perhaps there is an advantage but I get a sense that I'd feel just a bit naked without those nice baggy MTB shorts. Regardless, in preparation for the upcoming race season (starting with the "MTB Challenge" races up north and CCCX), I have officially began the search for a non-naked-feeling short.
While researching, I came across this website:
They DO sell a bunch of ... um, crap, BUT there is a good section with jerseys. This one looks quite nice:

Speaking of the CCCX races, I plan on possibly doing some pre-rides, starting this weekend. Compared to the Lake Sonoma series course, these laps seem as if they'd be quite a bit easier. About 5.5 miles and 600 ft per lap, whereas the LS series laps are 4.5 miles and about 900ft per lap.
More on that later ... I think its going to be a Santa Cruz/Monterey weekend!

Whats a blog?
OK so I finally gave in and started a blog.
Be warned - there'll be lots of offensive material and inane, unfiltered ramblings.
Oh and some mountain biking reports, pictures, etc. :)
Enjoy,
Kris
